Data Team Overview

The mission of the CLAS data team is to support planning and decision making in the College of the Liberal Arts and Sciences by providing data that is accurate and timely.  It is our goal to anticipate customer’s needs and help them understand how data can help them achieve their goals by being creative and innovative.

The CLAS data team is available to departments within the College to analyze KU data that will be used to support the mission of College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.  Our primary focus is student data (majors, enrollment, progression, retention, graduation).  Some faculty, staff, and space data are available as well.  We will also liaison with other KU offices to support departments in their acquisition of data (e.g. OIRP, research, alumni, budget).

Find & Request Data

We can provide data to any faculty or staff in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. We ask, however, that department chairs be included in any data request; especially when sensitive student data are involved.  (data request form)

The data you need may already be available in DEMIS within the academic section. For access to DEMIS please contact adamdubinsky@ku.edu and copy your department chair or director.

Some standard reports are available through the open access OIRP website and at Visual Analytics.

Data and/or reports can be requested using our web form (see tab above).
